A: You don't need any special or new software to read eBooks on Volow, simply an up-to-date internet browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc and an active internet connection.
Q: What devices will Volow work on?
A: Volow will work on any device with a web browser: whether it's a tablet, smartphone, laptop or desktop.
Q: Can I read my existing eBooks on Volow?
A: Yes, if you have eBooks in ePub format (the industry standard format for eBooks) that are DRM-free (ie. have not had digital rights management applied) then you can easily upload and read them via Volow.
Q: Are there any types of eBook files that I cannot read on Volow?
A: You cannot upload or read Kindle files (due to them being locked into the Amazon system), ePubs with Digital Rights Management or DRM (as these are generally locked into proprietary software), or PDFs.
Q: Can I read Harriman House eBooks on Volow?
Yes, absolutely! When you buy an eBook from the
Harriman House website you will be provided with a link to read the book on
Volow. If you have bought the print edition of the book and register for your FREE
eBook edition via Harriman House then you will
also be able to access this via Volow.
If you have already downloaded your eBook file then you can easily upload this to read on Volow.
Q: What do I need to sign up to Volow?
A: To get started all you need to do is sign up with your email address and a passwordof your choosing. Once logged in you can read the free eBooks available in the store and read samples from all the other titles. You can then buy any of the eBooks individually or subscribe to get unlimited access to the full range of titles.
Q: What is Volow Monthly?
A: Volow monthly is our eBook subscription service which gives you access to over 350 top financial titles for a simple monthly fee.
Q: How much is a subscription?
A: Volow Monthly starts from £ 5.99 per month for unlimited access to all titles in one or more Collection.
Q: How long does a subscription last?
A: Subscriptions are on a rolling monthly basis and you can cancel at any time with no penalty.
Q: What happens if I want to cancel my subscription?
If you cancel your subscription your auto renewal will be stopped and you will not be billed again.
You will continue to have access to the full range of eBooks until your renewal date.
Your renewal date is monthly and based on the date that you originally subscribe to the service.
For example if you subscribed on the 10th of April and then decided to cancel on the 1st of June, the renewal due on the 10th of June would be stopped, but you would continue to have access until that date.
Q: What is your returns policy for eBooks purchased through Volow?
A: You can return your eBook for a full refund within 7 days of purchase. To do so contact: including your invoice number and details of the eBook you wish to return, terms and conditions apply.
Q: Is your order process secure?
A: Yes, it is completely safe. All payment details are taken via a secure order form using SSL (https) and cards are processed by Stripe (stripe.com), one of the leading international payment processors. We do not at any stage hold or store you credit card details, management of your payment details is handled by Stripe who are fully regulated and compliant with all the latest payment security standards.
Q: What subjects do you cover in Volow?
A: We specialise in finance, business and economics titles.
Q: Can I download the eBooks to my computer or device?
A: If you decide to buy an eBook then yes, you can download the eBook file if you want to. If you subscribe to Volow Monthly then access is online only and the titles are not downloaded to your computer of device.
Q: Can I print the eBooks I access on Volow?
No, eBooks are not designed to be printed and they may not include print rights so you could be
infringing copyright. Instead a print version of the majority of our eBooks are
available from the Harriman House website
